Today is 5th day of the 5th month, in chinese calender it is the Duan wu (literally means the day of the right mid-day) festival. It is also known as dragon boat festival, or dumpling festival in the west.
I am so bored today, heard from the radio shuqi is coming to town, to amk hub to advertise for her new movie, my wife is a gangster 3. Sorta interest me, as its very rare to see a hk star in neighbourhood shopping center i feel. So the kaypo me asked a friend who stays around amk to accompany for the long wait. i reached amk at around 7, and i thought i am late, wait here and there, finding a good place to shoot some photos. A big crowd is already there, and alot of aunties standing everywhere.
My fav 933 dj, Peifen came at 715 sharp as the host to maintain the crowd as we all know the star will be late for sure.
There are some local artist who came at around 730 like past contestant from superstar (which i dont know), and campus superstar teresa, she definitely looks alot more mature with makeup and high heels.
I can feel the crowd is getting abit bth as time reaches 745, a few irritating aunties infront of us went off, we stood at the small corner where the loud speaker is just a hand distance away from us. And all the camera man were there too, so i guess i picked a good spot.
Shuqi came at 8pm, 45mins late from the assigned time, which i kinda expected. She sounds tired but still maintain her smile when peifen interviewed her. Shuqi looks alot more slimmer and more beautiful in real person, and her lips i guess the most deadly weapon to the male species haha. I am quite surprised her mandarin is quite good, unlike most hk stars.
The crowds are very synchronized, once she left the red carpet and went up to the cinema, we all dispersed within 5mins.
