A movie i've been looking forward to watch. Curious to find out about the story, is jay good enough to direct a film? Is his acting good enough?
A rather busy evening, which i hurriedly finished my stuff at work and walk out of the office at 630pm, phew.. I think its like almost a month since i left this early.
I meet up with ms sot sot for the first time, at the cathay. She honestly tell me that she didnt like Jay at all, because people were saying that her idol JJ is imitating the Jay style. I laughed, i am not a great fan of Jay nor JJ anyway, what i like is their music, and honestly i think their style are very different. Ms sot sot agreed and smile, although i didnt say out that i prefer Jay songs as they serve a different meaning to me =x
Simple Love by Jay, a song which brings me great memories of my first love. Qing tian, a song that reminds me of my friendship with my polymates. Wai po, a song which i would love to sing to my grandma also.... I must agree that i didnt like Jay cocky attitude in the public at times, and how he treated all his beautiful celebrity girl friends, not a real gentleman. But for his music, they're nice.
This movie, Secret, it doesnt look at all very appealing to me when i watched the trailer. Looks like how a typical love story would go, a guy in love with a sick girl.
But i must honestly tell my friends, after watching this film, i am really impressed by Jay's talent, and his original story, of good creativity i would say, something similar to mine, ermmm maybe 80% of my talent to dream, opps! wahhahahha.
Jay once again show his ability to act natural, as natural as he can be, as this film is after all his story, and his plot (the school is his real secondary school) and his talent (he learn piano since age of 4). The very green young love of the couple just brings back alot of memories to alot of guys and girls who have the experience of dating in schooling days. And the story is something u will never guess out, he's real good with plotting i would say, to lead u into thinking of a typical ending and then the whole story twisted into something unbelievable.
Towards the end its alot like final fantasy 8, Rinoa and Squall, beautiful scene, beautiful love and a real touching ending marks the day. Bring tissue, maybe not for u, but for ur spouse.... not now? maybe in the near future. ahahaha
I will give this film a 4 out of 5 stars. Definitely one of the must see film for couples and a great mandarin movie of the year.
Oh and thanks ms sot sot for spending time to watch with me, too bad you cant share the popcorns and ice tea =x
