I'm so worried after waking up in total darkness looking at my phone display, 6am. My right ear is a total pain mess yesterday and now i practically cant hear anything from it. I started walking up and down, dripping water into my right ear, jumping on the cold floor, drinking lotsa water trying all kinda ways to unblock my right ear, and they all didnt work out.
I felt so terrified, music is my life, losing a right ear hearing, that thought scares me. My mum noticed my weird behavior in the dark morning and asked whats keeping me awake this early. I told her all everything, she then tried to convince me, it might not be a big issue, might be due to "heatiness" or yin and yang not balanced as i am not having regular sleep for the past 1 month.
I am not really convinced, but chose to lesser her load of worries by telling her i would be fine, and i will go to sleep now and see the doc in the morning.
I slept till almost 9 and went down to my family clinic, as expected, there isnt any one queuing up on a weekday morning. Doc examined my both ears, and he said something like, "its not looking good, ur ear drum looks swollen", i'm real worried after hearing that. "What did u exactly do to ur ears?" i recalled cleaning up my ear the day before i feel any pain. "It must be due to that" he explained. "Try to only use cotton bud to clean ur ears, as the traditional metal digger proves to be dangerous to untrained personnel" he smile at me. I think i looked like a guilty crime buster at that moment.
I was then tested with a metal tong like device which u normally only see it in the cartoons. It emitted a sharp sound wave that is sensitive to hearing, it seems softer on my right ear, i told the doc. He then hit the device and place in directly behind the ear with the metal in touch with my skin. I felt the cold metal and heard a loud humming sound inside my right ear. I told the doc about it, and he smiled "seems like ur right ear is just swollen and experiencing some sound blockage somewhere down the system". I looked worried and unconvinced, he then explained "dont worry, its not gona be long till u hear normally if u take ur medicine on time". Phew what a relief.
Now i am here blogging, in another 10mins time, going back to the office and complete my unfinished business. Haiz... and i thought i can rest on the bed for the rest of the day, the mc doesnt prove to be useful for a stupid guy with lotsa work.
